Hits for Hockey 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 3
This is a sticky thread I'll be using to update anything related to the Hits for Hockey program.

One thing I want to put out there is that all payments are 3 months behind -- something to do with how the advertising firm cuts the checks to Bloguin.

Anyhow once the first payment is made I'll update the module on the front page and put a post here with the dollar amount.

From there we'll start to get an idea of how much we can donate to youth hockey in Columbus and how soon we can do it.

I wanted to post a quick update on where the Hits for Hockey program stands.

I mentioned above that the first payment would be 90 days after the site launched. The site launched in October so I thought we'd get our first payment sometime this month (Oct didn't really count since it was so late).

After talking it over with the men behind Bloguin there was a small mis-understanding and it's actually 120 days and the first payment should hit early April. Trust me when I say it's funky how this whole online advertising dealio works. From there the payments will come monthly and once we crack $1,000 I'll look for a good local youth hockey cause to donate it to and then start all over again.

Just wanted to post that for those interested.

As I've always said - this site will never be about making $$ for personal gain -- it's about enjoying and growing hockey in Columbus OH.
